We are the registered association of shopkeepers, wholesalers and small traders of the Sadar Bazar market area, run by a committee elected every two years by the members themselves. When a licence is held up, a GST notice lands, a road is dug up in front of your shop or a hawker encroachment blocks your shutter, the association takes it up with the Nagar Nigam, the police and the collectorate as one body instead of one lone shopkeeper. Members get a panel advocate, help with welfare-board and insurance forms, a WhatsApp notice group that reaches everyone within minutes, and a family support fund for the worst days. Every rupee of the membership fee is accounted for in the audited statement read out at the annual general body meeting.
