We are a play school and daycare for children from 1 year 8 months to 5½ years, in a ground-floor bungalow with its own garden on Shastri Nagar Road, two lanes behind the Civil Hospital. Children come to us for Play Group, Nursery, LKG and UKG, and working parents leave their little ones with us till 6 in the evening in our daycare. Every class has one teacher and one didi for at most 15 children, so a shy child, a child who still wears a diaper, or a child who speaks only Marwari at home is seen and settled, not lost in a crowd. The whole day is built around play — rhymes, blocks, sand, water, colour, stories and the garden — and the letters and numbers arrive gently, in UKG, when the hands and the mind are ready. Parents get a photo and a two-line note on WhatsApp every afternoon, and the gate, the garden and every room are on CCTV that the owner watches from the office.
