We are the elected residents' welfare association of a 180-flat society of four wings, running the gate, housekeeping, water, lifts, gardens and community hall on behalf of every owner and tenant who lives here. Our managing committee of nine residents is elected every two years at the AGM, meets on the first Sunday of each month, and puts the monthly income-and-expense statement on the notice board and the residents' WhatsApp group. Every complaint gets a ticket number and is tracked till the resident confirms it is closed; every rupee of maintenance comes with a receipt on WhatsApp. From Ganesh Utsav to the Republic Day flag hoisting, we try to run the society the way a good family runs a home — safely, cleanly and together.
